  -Are you looking for an ongoing volunteer commitment or more short-term activities?
  
• Visit the Organization
  -Use the opportunity to talk with staff, as well as current volunteers and determine if you feel comfortable in the organizations environment.
  
• Make a Commitment
  -Once you have accepted a volunteer position, commit yourself to completing whatever tasks lie before you. When you agree to become a volunteer, the organization and the people working with you depend on your sincere effort and enthusiasm.
  
• Be Yourself
  -When you volunteer your time, you are ultimately volunteering your strengths, talents, heart, desire and mind. Just your presence alone is a tremendous asset to the organization.
